Odal Shield
There are a series of important attributions to this Nordic and Old Enlish sign. It is a Viking shield device. It alludes to the cross, referencing the four quarters, crossroads and the earth. It is a forerunner of the Celtic Cross and was regarded by Christians as a prophecy. Odal is the Norse and Old Enlish rune Othila, which stands for Earth, home, land, and origin. |

Odin's Wheel
Odin, chief of the Norse gods, learned the secrets of goddess magic (not easily - he gave up an eye and hung from the World Tree for a really long time), but in so doing, he brought about the twilight of the male gods (Gotterdamerung), because they became divorced from their female roots. This symbol, a male version (four spiral spokes instead of three) of the triskalion, represents masculine magickal power. It is a symbol for Norse Magick. |

Odin's Knot (Valknut)
It is said that this symbol of Norse Magick, the Valknut (also known as Odin's knot) is a contract between Odin and his acolytes, a binding spell. The symbol also refers to the Three Norns, the weavers of fate. Odin achieved the secret of changing fate through knowledge of runes, with the sacrifice of one of his eyes and by hanging himself from the World Tree, under which (not coincidentally) reside The Three Fates. Odin (Othin, the All Father) was one of the most popular of the Norse Warrior gods and remains important in the modern version of Norse magick, Asatru. |

Odin's Knot (Valknut) in Circle
A customer just recently asked us to make the large valknut in a circle. Since the circle tends to mean surrounded by the divine I thought ity might be too wimpy for this powerful piece - guess I was wrong! |

Octagram
This is an alternative to the traditional Star of Ishtar . Composed of two intertwined squares, this is a symbol of regeneration. Unlike the long pointed 8 pointed star, this is not a "gateless" design but two interlaced squares. Thus it is also a symbol for the natural universe as the interweaving of order and disorder (90 degree & 45 degree angles), yin and yang, to create an ultimately harmonious design. |

Octagram, Rays
Another alternative to the traditional 8 pointed star/octagram/octagram alternate! Lot's of 8 pointed stars. This one has an eight rayed cross behind it and we were told it was a Mormon symbol. |

Omega
The omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet, a long O. The letter has thus come to mean the end, the apocalypse, or a symbol that refers to completion. In Christianity Jesus Christ referred to himself as the Alpha (the first letter of the alphabet) and the Omega (the last), asserting perfection, completion, and inclusiveness. We will do other greek letters - just email us. |

Peace
Originally known as the witch's or crow's foot, this symbol was a sign of death. It was adopted by the Committee on Nuclear Disarmament in the 1960's to represent man's inevitable fate if he continues to deal with nuclear power. |

Peace and Love Dog Tag
Here the Peace symbol is linked in a dog tag with a heart, symbolizing love - promoting the best of all possible worlds: peace and love. Many of the symbols in this site can be made into pierced dog tags. All of the symbols can be made into dog tags using the type of laminating technique on the Zoso dog tag . The Zoso style looks great on a key ring! This can also be made just as a peace dog tag - see below - or just love - if you're the romantic sort). |
