Bastet
Egyptian cat goddess, the mother of all cats, and also associated with the moon. We used to think that cats were domesticated and revered by the ancient Egyptians but now we know they domesticated themselves (and continue to do so!) long before the Egyptians. The Greeks identified her with Artemis, who became one of the goddesses of witches, hence the undeserved link of black cats to bad luck. The Egyptians had joyous and elaborate festivals in her honor - as do those in the know today. This design has a small gold earring through her ear. |

Bast Head
Bast is also known as Bastet. Here this divine feline's head is adorned not only with a silver engraved collar, but also an emerald eye (a lesser stone is included in the price!) and a 14kt gold earring. The jump ring is on the back. This piece works very well as a pin also. The symbol is Egyptian in origin. The ancient Egyptians erected a vast temple complex to Bastet, filled with cats. Mummified cats are frequently found. |

Bast Head, 14 kt Gold Collar/Emerald
Also know as Bastet, this divine feline's head is adorned not only with a 14kt gold engraved collar, but she also has an emerald eye and a 14kt gold earring. The jump ring is on the back. She won't mind if you put another stone in her eye - say a diamond! |

Bhagwa/Bagua
This symbol incorporates the 8 trigrams of the I Ching with the yin yang Tai Chi . This is a piece that is made out of layers of silver flush soldered together. The I Ching is a divinatory device, but more than that, it is a template for the universe representing the movement from the sophisticated efflorescence of unity into dynamic bipolarity - showing the complex variety of universal phenomena. |

Biohazard
Although this modern design, representing the threat of biological contamination, bears great similarity to ancient tripartite symbols such as the Triquetra and Triskalion, it is in fact a glyph showing an organism breaking through a circular containment field. When we developed this design, one of our most popular these days, we had no idea that the threat of bioterrorism would make this symbol so well known. Sadly. |

Biohazard Dog Tag
In the years of the great pandemics of HIV-AIDS and Hepatitis C, we thought a dog tag identifying infection as a mere fact of life would be a useful counterpoint to the fear and shame that many carrying the antibodies for these diseases feel. And, of course, people working in HASMAT fields (like radiology) will like this dog tag for a completely different reason! This, and all other dog tags look great with the 2 mm sterling silver bead chain 85 cents an inch including lobster clasp . See the chains page. |

Bisexual
This is the male Mars symbol combined with the female Venus symbol. It is a variant of the symbol once adopted by the entertainer Prince. This sign also denotes the union of male and female, besides the sexual proclivities of those who enjoy both male and female. |

Caduceus
The Caduceus is the wand of Hermes, a symbol for the medical profession. This wand is a combination of intertwined snakes that refer to Ida & Pingali of Ayurvedic medicine, the energies flowing through the chakras up and down the spinal cord and a winged Hermes, or Mercury, who is the god of healing, knowledge & magick. This is our take on the symbol that represents the healing professions. It can also be seen as 2 intertwined snakes not fighting because of the greater good of healing. Hermes is also the trickster god - but that's another story! |

Cathar Cross
This ancient Gnostic, Cathar, Templar (and lately, Satanic) symbol predates Christianity and was Canaanite and Phoenician. It is a symbol of the sacred marriage of Heaven and Earth, of the male and female generative principles. The symbol was revered by the Templars. The Templars, like the Cathars, were viciously persecuted by the Catholic Church but survived in England and Spain and exist to this day. This cross was recently popularized by Anton La Vey in his Satanic Bible. |

Cross of the Cathars Ring
Despite the depredations of the Church of Rome and its infamous Albigensian Crusade (when the Roman Church allegedly slaughtered 3 million innocent Cathars) this symbol for the union of Heaven and Earth, body and mind, temporal and spiritual lives on to this day with its original meaning intact. The symbol may have been an inspiration for the papal cross (read into that whatever you like). It is also an alchemical symbol for sulphur/ brimstone and probably in this regard graces the pages of the Satanic Bible. Here the cross is flush soldered to the table of a heavy sterling silver signet ring. |

Celestial Lizard
A symbol for the limbic system and kundalini energy, the lizard also represents the cyclical movement of energy through the universe and the configuration of the space/time continuum. This version is a celestial lizard - balancing the sun (citrine) & the moon (moonstone) on two of his feet. This design is adapted from a tattoo from Borneo. It can also be made with a moonstone and onyx, linking it to the yin yang. |

Celtic Cross
Originating in India as a sign of sexual union, this earth center symbol for the Pre-Christian Celts came to symbolize the universe quartered by the cross and the Sun King crucified. This symbol was so common in pre-Christian Ireland that it is alleged St. Patrick saw it as a sign that the Celts were ready for Christianity. |

Celtic Cross with Moonstones and Citrine
The citrine represents the son/sun of man/sun king, the moonstones the four phases of the moon/journey through life of all the suns and sons. On top of this earth center/Christian cross one can clearly see the layers of thought from celestial to and through Indian and pagan to and through western Christianity. A complex and beautiful piece! |

Celtic Cross with Emerald, Sterling Silver and 14kt Gold
This is a married metal technique, where the gold circle elements, symbolizing the sun, are flush soldered to the sterling silver celtic cross, symbolizing the Earth. The emerald, apart from being the stone of the Emeald Isle for which Celtic Crosses are associated, is also an Earth symbol. This was a custom piece and Mark used native cut stones, which, though difficult to set, have a rich green color. PS - if you want to know the difference between "native cut" and regular faceted stones just email us! This is an example of one of our many custom pieces based on one of our designs. |

Equal Arm Celtic Cross
The equal arms of this form of the celtic cross refer to the traditional use of crosses at crossroads. This is also the form of the celtic cross made and used by Celts, not Indo-Eurasians. |

Mark doesn't really want to fabricate this incredibly complex cross again. He will, but only if you'll pay the opthamologist bill! This design was based on a tattoo and has a small diamond in the center. |

Custom Laminated Celtic Cross
This is another custom celtic style cross. In this case there are 6 layers of silver, three layers of two, flush soldered to one another, then soldered into this arrangement. This is an example of the type of work that can be done using these highly detailed and labor intensive techniques. |

Celtic Knot
Of all of the endless (or seamless) knots that we do, the Celtic Knot, one of the first, is the one with no meaning! There is no evidence to indicate that a knot had any specific philosophical or religious significance beyond perhaps the most obvious, that being the intricacy capable in the work of humans, itself reflective of the intricacy of Natural forms. They have been found in Irish pre-Christian archeological sites of 450 ACE and maybe earlier. |

Celtic Knot Earrings, 14kt Gold
Although these Celtic Knot Earrings are 14 kt gold on 14 karat gold endless hoops, they can be made in any size out of Sterling Silver. In Sterling they would be twice the price of the individual celtic knots, plus $5 each for the hoops. As with all our jewelry, all jump rings that can be soldered are soldered, the exception being the jump rings on ball post dangles - see 14kt gold zen cat earrings . |

Celtic Pentagram
The Celtic Pentagram has the same wondrous meaning as all the other pentagrams - but this one has an internal circle, still a significator for the divine, interwoven through an already interwoven star. It is a typical Celtic design of the simpler sort and reflects the early Celts life view: everything from birth to death, from wonderful to horrifying is interwoven into one. Though we can't do an extra small in this design, we can do an extra large. |
