Ankh
In hieroglyphics the ankh means both life and mirror. Sacred to the Mother Goddess, the ankh signifies eternal life and sexual union. The female sign is derived from the ankh. This is an ancient and powerful symbol. This is our particular take on the ankh. |

This is our version of the classic ankh design which you can see as next one down in 14kt gold. We simply wanted to make the design in a more balanced fashion - the meaning remains the same. |

Egyptian Ankh
Modeled after the ankhs in KingTuttenkhamen's tomb, the upper part of this Egyptian style Ankh is yonic in appearance. This is the original ankh. Egyptians and Egyptian gods carried this symbol by it's loop. It was a sun symbol and was therefore never made out of silver by Egyptians. |

Egyptian Ankh, 14kt Gold
The ankh appears frequently in Egyptian tomb paintings and other art, often at the fingertips of a god or goddess in images that represent the deities of the afterlife conferring the gift of life on the dead person's mummy; this is thought to symbolize the act of conception |

Ankh with Crescent & Moonstone
The ankh is sacred to the mother goddess, and signifies eternal life and sexual union. Here the crescent represents Hathor," Mother of All", Creator and Destroyer. Hathor also was associated with the light of the night sky thus the moonstone represents both the mother and the moon. |

Ankh with 8 Pointed Star/Star Sapphire
This is a custom piece. Our client wanted to combine the Modern Ankh with the 8 pointed star and a star sapphire. Most of our symbols can be combined in ways like this. Since all our jewelry is fabricated, not cast, it's not particularly expensive, especially if the symbols are easily combined as in this case. |

Vampire Ankh, The Masquerade
This is the first of our Vampire Ankhs. The rest of this page will be for vampires! The use of the ankh as a symbol for the Undieing is rooted in the symbol's Egyptian origins as a sign for immortality. The symbol is modified in vampire ankhs to emphasize the dagger and fang qualities. This particular ankh originally referenced a role playing game, "Vampire, the Masquerade", but is now more widely used within the covenant. |

Vampire Ankh
The ankh is a symbol for eternal life. Here we have modified the symbol to represent the immortality of the undead. This ankh's bottom leg is shaped like a dagger and its crossbar contains allusions to bat wings and vampire fangs. We do many custom vampire ankhs. Contact us if you or your house want to commission one. |

Vampire Ankh with Stone
Here the vampire ankh is set with a ruby. Any stone can be set in this ankh, but the most popular are red stones like rubies and garnets. Both synthetic and natural rubies are available in cabochon or faceted. Garnets are only available as natural stones. Drop of blood shaped red stones, see below, also look great on these ankhs. We do a great many custom ankhs for the different houses. Email or call us for further information. |

Bloodstorm Ankh
This is an alternative to the Vampire Ankh, designed particularly for pear shaped (or drop of blood shaped - BWAH HA HA HA) rubies and garnets. Mark calls this the Bloodstorm Ankh after a comic novel in which Batman becomes a vampire. The Extra Large can only have pear shaped garnets as lab grown rubies are unavailable in the size needed and garnets in that size are expensive - thus the price jump. |

Anubis, God of the Dead
Egyptian God of the Dead, this Anubis is from a hieroglyph in The Book of the Dead as he is about to weigh a human heart against a feather. As the myth goes, if the heart is heavier than the feather the ka or soul is doomed to hell. Anubis is the guardian of the west, and later, in Greco-Roman myth, a god of earth and sky. |
