This is an example of an incised technique which looks like deep engraving but it is not . The ring is made from two sheets of argentium: the top sheet is pierced with the design then flush soldered to the bottom sheet. Cool, huh? Initials, zodiac signs, runes and many other symbols can be fabricated using this technique. Rings like this cost $225 and up.
This is a raised style wide band ring, this time using an Old English font modified for jewelry, for the name "Angel". Rings like this cost $225 and up.
Here are three views of two Alchemy rings. Both feature the four elemental signs and a large hematite. Both rings are 1/2" or 12.5mm tall. The one on the left has a lightly hammered band, the one on the right is heavily textured. Your choice at $250 or more.
On the Led Zeppelin IV album, Jimmy Page inspired the four band members to choose symbols to represent their names on the album cover. Here are the symbols on a wide band ring. For very much more information on the symbols themselves, go here. This ring costs $275 in Argentium silver.
Sigils are magickal spells written out, usually in a private alphabet. Email us if you'd like to know more about how to create sigils. This was a sigil ring with sigils cut into the outer and inner sheets of silver that comprised the ring. This type of ring is extremely difficult to fabricate for what ends up looking like a fairly simple ring. Double sided incised rings cost $325 and up.
Here's another way to create a ring with a name (or short phrase) inscribed around it. The customer's name was Diabolus Darkwater and he requested a ring that looked like it was forged in Hell. He liked the ring, expecially the accidental demon in the top of the 'A' in the far right image. Rings this complex cost $300 and up.
This 14kt gold and Argentium silver band with tube set 3 mm gemstones is a tribute to Hokusai's Great Wave. Rings like this cost $450 and up.
This ring, a gift to Pam, features a 14kt rose gold snake with 14kt white gold scales, sliding through 14kt yellow gold grass and about to eat the three gems. The ring is after a Buddhist sutra in which the snake is the force of delusion and the three gems are the Triple Treasure of the Sangha, the Dharma, and the Buddha. Rather than beating the snake into submission (a technique that selsom works anyway!) we can feed him the wonders of Buddhism and he will transform himself. The three gems are rhodolite garnet, peridot and sapphire. Rings this complex start at $600.
Cut and carved from 14kt yellow gold 16 gauge sheet the worm ouroborous, a gnostic symbol for the cyclical nature of reality, is priced at $300 and up, $350 and up for the one with the 2 mm faceted emerald eye.
One of our customers has a large teddy bear collection. She particularly wanted a teddy bear magus on a wide 14kt gold ring and she sent us this design. The magickal bear and a crescent moon were flush soldered to the ring and details were engraved. The ring was also engraved on the inside and had stars engraved around the back. A ring this thick and wide and with this type of work would cost $1000 and up.
'Hung' is the last syllable in 'Om Mani Padme Hum,' the mahamantra, spoken, in Tibetan as 'Hung'. One of the seed syllables, like 'Aum,' Hung is a sacred sound in Buddhism and Hinduism. Two Tibetan Buddhist practitioners commissioned these badn rings which have an oval disk with the 'hung' in 14kt yellow gold on the top. The ring on the left is 14kt red gold with the 14kt yellow gold 'Hung" and would cost $500 and up. The ring on the right is argentium silver and 14kt yellow gold and costs $350 and up.
This ring, similar to the rings above and bought by the same customer, features the dorje with a bell in 14kt yellow gold on an argentium plate and band. The oval plate is only 1/2 inch (12.5 mm) tall! Rings similar to this cost $325 and up.
This ring, along with the averse pentagram, is a tribute to Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan. It is available in argentium sterling silver at $250 and in 14kt gold at $450 and up, depending on the size
