Mark found an image of Anton Lavey wearing a pendant similar to this one. Baphomet is the symbol for the life force and this is really more of an inverted pentagram with the siegel rune, which is also a symbol for the life force, flush soldered to it. The siegel rune is one of the Eldar Futhark runes and any of this rune system can be placed on a pentagram. The siegel is a stylized lightning bolt and, doubled, is the insignia of the SS. There's a link between the occultism of Nazi Germany and both the Church of Satan and the Temple of Set. How seriously this link is taken is difficult to know. |
