This is a heavier version of the pentagram, where the design is backed with textured silver. Pentagrams are sometimes known as a pentacles - same thing. The origin of the symbol may be Sumerian or Babylonian, a result of astronomical research since the movement of the planet Venus across the sky plots exactly this sign. This design could be made in 14 kt gold, or in a combination of gold and silver - and look terrific! In addition, the textured back can be oxidized black, although, in our opinion, it doesn't look as good. Larger sizes are available. Mark has an extra extra large as a bolo. |
