| This is the emblem, or seal, of the Chinese Manchu Dynasty. It is found on furniture, pottery, and other art from the Manchu period, which was a prolific period in art production. So if this symbol looks familiar to you - it's because it's everywhere - Chinese restaurants on up (or down as the case may be). It is also known as a "Shou", which symbolizes long life.
